As you are aware, Fort Frye Local Schools continue to collaborate with Coplin Health to plan for a future school-based health clinic located in the district. Part of the planning process includes a needs assessment to collect information about student, staff, and community health needs and how a school-based health clinic can address those needs in the most effective and efficient ways.
Coplin Health has contracted with Ohio University to conduct an online parent/guardian survey. This survey will be released to parent/guardian email accounts that are in our registration system on March 9. All parents/guardians are asked to please complete this survey by March 19. Please be watching for this survey, and thank you for helping us improve access to quality healthcare for our students, staff, and community! Please contact the superintendent if you have any questions.
Open to residents or families enrolled with Fort Frye Local School District.

Students from Fort Frye High School attended AOMC’s Discover Battle Bots workshop on Friday, January 23, joining several other local schools for an immersive, STEM-focused experience at the Appalachian Ohio Manufacturers’ Coalition facility in Marietta. The event brought together students from Belpre, Fort Frye, Caldwell, Warren, and Wolf Creek to learn about the Battle Bots competition and the engineering process behind one-pound combat robots. Students explored how teams design, plan, and prepare for competition, gaining insight into the rules, strategies, and technical requirements involved.
Throughout the day, students and teachers participated in hands-on learning sessions covering soldering, advanced 3D modeling and design, 3D printing, controller programming, and manufacturing concepts used in competitive robotics. Led by AOMC interns, technical trainers, and industry partners, the workshop highlighted real-world problem-solving and engineering skills while exposing students to potential career pathways in advanced manufacturing and technology. The experience generated strong excitement and momentum, and Fort Frye will have teams competing in the AOMC Battle Bots competition this May, applying what they learned as they move from concept to creation.
