The greenhouse is helping students grow many different plants such as spinach, marigolds, basil, and hanging basket flowers. They're working as a team to make sure all of the plants thrive.
Next goal - getting the aquaphonic system up and running so students can raise plants such as lettuce. The lettuce will get its nutrients from the fish waste.

Energy drink consumption is on the rise in the U.S., particularly among teens and young adults. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has received numerous reports, linking energy drink consumption to death and serious adverse reactions, including elevated blood pressure, convulsions and heart rhythm abnormalities.

Save the date! Fort Frye High School's Students Solving Problems Club will be hosting a Senior Citizen Prom on March 20th in the high school gym from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.

Fort Frye Local Schools is accepting applications for open enrollment for next school year. Please complete the application that is available on the district website and submit it to the school building Principal.

Students in DC Electronics are learning the basics of soldering before moving on to larger projects.
They practiced soldering wires together and completed a solder badge project with LEDs and a battery holder to mark their progress. This hands-on work aligns with Ohio CTE standards, building technical skills, safety awareness, and career readiness through learning by doing.

A reminder that there is now school on Friday, February 20. This day was originally scheduled as a professional learning day for staff, and students were not to be in session. However, students will now be in session this Friday. It will be a normal school day.

Starting tomorrow morning, Wednesday, February 18, Fort Frye will start using Twin River Baptist Church bus stop again. This stop will now be used again in the mornings and afternoons.
The district will now not run to the Opportunity School as a pickup location.
