This is a reminder that the deadline to sign up for summer school is this Friday.
Some parents of students received a letter indicating that their son/daughter are currently failing or has failed a core class (Math, English, Science, or Social Studies). With High School Credits, any course failed, must be retaken to earn the needed credit. Unless the course is recovered during the summer, those students will be placed in the same grade level and course that was failed when scheduling for next school year. This may put them off track for graduation and could also limit options in their plans and schedules. It is highly recommended that any student that failed a High School class attend Summer School.
Summer School is completed completely online, using the PEAK Platform and can be completed at the students and families most convenient days and times. Stephanie Marshall will be facilitating Summer School this year and she will be available via Google Meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 am - 11:00 am or via email. The Summer School cost is $100 for the first half credit and $50 for any remaining half credit. Payment must be received before enrollment can be completed.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Stephanie Marshall via phone at 740-984-2376 ext. 1220 or email at stephanie.marshall@fortfrye.org.

We are excited to announce that we will once again have a full time athletic trainer on our team for the 2024-25 school year. Kaitlin Shine is a 2021 graduate of Marietta College with a degree in Athletic Training, she also graduated from Ohio University in 2023 with a Masters of Science in Athletic Training. Kaitlin has worked on and off with our student athletes over the years, working with former athletic trainer Kieth Howell on her high school clinical rotation, and she has filled in for us throughout this school year when available. We are excited to welcome Kaitlin to The Fort and look forward to having her on board to assist our coaches and student athletes.

Fort Frye FFA Students Earn Ohio AgriBusiness Association Student Credential
Two Fort Frye FFA students earned the Ohio AgriBusiness Association Agribusiness and Production Systems Certification during the 2023-24 school year: Kail Bauerbach and Maggie Fulton.
The Ohio AgriBusiness Association provides an industry-recognized, agribusiness credential that verifies high school student expertise in the areas of agriculture, agribusiness and production systems. To be eligible for the program, a student must be enrolled in a career-technical agricultural program and complete four required courses, where they are engaged in learning and applying technical skills in foundational agricultural concepts. Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE) – a student project that involves real world
agricultural activities done by students outside of the planned classroom and laboratory time – are also integral in attaining the OABA credential. A student’s SAE must be an entrepreneurial, placement or research-driven project pertaining to the agriculture industry with at least 500 hours of documented project work.
