COVID guidelines have changed this year. We are now treating it like a respiratory illness. The Ohio Department of Health recommends we follow CDC guidelines. These recommended guidelines say: They should be 24 hours fever free without the use of fever-reducing medication (ibuprofen, tylenol, etc) AND Symptoms should be improving It is recommended that when they return, they wear a mask, but again not required. Therefore, we will not be using the COVID Exempt code this year. Instead it will be parent excused days or medical excused days if they have a note from a doctors office. Below is the link to the CDC website where the information can be found. https://www.cdc.gov/respiratory-viruses/prevention/precautions-when-sick.html

With all Fort Frye Fall Athletics grades 7-12 officially starting on August 1st. A reminder that all student athletes MUST have a current physical on file at the school and uploaded into Final Forms. If you have not gotten a physical for this year yet, Fort Frye Local Schools has partnered with Coplin Health Systems to provide "Mobile" medical health options for our students and staff beginning this school year (more to come on this). Coplin will have their Mobile Health Unit at Fort Frye High School on July 30th to provide FREE physicals for Fort Frye students entering grades 7-12. So if you have not gotten your physical yet, this is another great opportunity. Students must bring a completed and signed Physical Form. They can be picked up in the High School office or Here is the link https://ohsaaweb.blob.core.windows.net/files/Sports-Medicine/2024-25PPE(English).pdf. Please scan the QR code to register and a Coplin representative will call to schedule a time starting at 9:00am.
