Starting Monday, October 14, morning bus route pick-up times will be 5 minutes earlier for the following bus routes for the remainder of the school year:

A reminder that Fort Frye Local Schools will be dismissing two hours early for parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, October 3.
There will be no school for students on Friday, October 4, due to staff professional learning.

Karen Pawloski, Deputy Director of the Washington County Board of Elections, visits the Fort Frye High School Government Classes to educate them on the election process and the Youth at the Booth Election Program.


FFHS SAVE Club ends start with Hello week with stations where students learn how to define, identify and stop bullying!




Fort Frye continues to work on maintaining and upgrading our facilities. The girls volleyball and basketball lockeroom got a face-lift, and some of the labor was organized and voluntarily completed by Assistant Coach Troy Fogle!

On a regular basis around Fort Frye"s school campuses, you will see church volunteers dropping off bags of food to go home with students over the upcoming weekend. Schools and community groups provide so many services for students/families! Thank you to all who are part of this!


Fort Frye's leadership has been a part of the advocacy process to get a children's hospital in our area. We are thrilled to be involved in this groundbreaking ceremony on October 8!

FFHS 10th graders visit Campus Martius Museum today as well as the LST-325 WWII ship that is currently docked in Marietta. Thank you AMVETS for their help and coordination and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5108 for sponsoring our admission into both locations!

Observing 9/11 today . . .


COVID guidelines have changed this year. We are now treating it like a respiratory illness. The Ohio Department of Health recommends we follow CDC guidelines. These recommended guidelines say:
They should be 24 hours fever free without the use of fever-reducing medication (ibuprofen, tylenol, etc) AND
Symptoms should be improving
It is recommended that when they return, they wear a mask, but again not required.
Therefore, we will not be using the COVID Exempt code this year. Instead it will be parent excused days or medical excused days if they have a note from a doctors office. Below is the link to the CDC website where the information can be found.
