Congratulations to the Fort Frye FFA Novice Parliamentary Procedure Team! On November 17th the team placed second in the District 10 contest and earned a ticket to the state competition. The state contest will be held this Saturday, December 2nd in Columbus. This group of girls demonstrated hard work, dedication, and perseverance learning how to properly demonstrate Robert’s Rules of Order, debate, and take a written test in Parliamentary law. An ecumenical group of community members are working together to offer the 2023 Christmas Day Feast. The ministry to the Marietta and surrounding area is free and available to anyone needing a free hot meal for themselves and their families on Christmas Day. Dine-in, pick-up, or delivery are options for the meals with everything taking place at the K of C Hall on Franklin Street in Marietta, Ohio. Congratulations to these 7th graders in Mrs. Huck's Pre-Engineering class! They have earned their FAA Trust Certificate! They passed the Federal Aviation and Administration's safety test for recreational drone flyers and are now eligible to work toward industry FAA 107 credentials in high school. Thank you to Deputy Powers, Deputy Brannan and Deputy Venham for coming to Fort Frye, sharing about careers in drones and encouraging and challenging our students to get their license!
