Our fifth graders wrote kind notes to 4th graders this morning on their desk. In addition, 2nd graders delivered some kind notes to 4th grade.

Our 4th graders made bookmarks with personalized messages for the 5th graders. This is to build relationships for Start With Hello Week.

To celebrate Start With Hello Week the third graders read books to the kindergarteners this afternoon. The purpose of this activity was to help make some friendly connections.

Yesterday, third grade learned how to say hello in a couple different languages. Today, they drew a smiley face on a Post-It and wrote a new way to say Hello. Quite a few students went with "Howdy", since it is Cowboy/Cowgirl Day. Then, the third grade students delivered their Post-It Note to another student or adult in the building. What a way to show kindness and make others feel important.

Just a reminder: Tomorrow is fall picture day for all students K-5.

Kaleb Miller and Luke Fouss earned a brag tag today. These boys show excellent leadership, sportsmanship, and are great leaders in the school. Keep it up, boys.

Spirit week is going great so far. Dress like your teacher and cowgirl/ cowboy have both been a success.

COVID guidelines have changed this year. We are now treating it like a respiratory illness. The Ohio Department of Health recommends we follow CDC guidelines. These recommended guidelines say:
They should be 24 hours fever free without the use of fever-reducing medication (ibuprofen, tylenol, etc) AND
Symptoms should be improving
It is recommended that when they return, they wear a mask, but again not required.
Therefore, we will not be using the COVID Exempt code this year. Instead it will be parent excused days or medical excused days if they have a note from a doctors office. Below is the link to the CDC website where the information can be found.
