Yesterday, our 1st and 2nd grade classes watched The Velveteen Rabbit. The students really enjoyed it. It was a musical that was presented by Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio. A huge thank you goes out to the PTO for making this opportunity possible for all K-5 students throughout the month of December.

Salem-Liberty P.T.O. recently worked with the Marietta Texas Roadhouse to hold two fundraisers. The students celebrated our profits by line dancing with Andy Armadillo and TXRH staff members. The TXRH staff graciously brought delicious rolls, cinnamon butter, and blue lemonade for the students to enjoy! We are so appreciative of the TXRH manager, Arista, and all other staff members who worked to make our fundraisers and celebration successful!

Salem-Liberty 4th and 5th grade social studies classes were honored to hear Marietta Mayor Josh Schlicher speak to them about his role in local government. He shared how he started as a city council member, served as President of Marietta City Council, and is currently serving his second term as mayor. Mayor Schlicher also told the students about his family and his favorite things to do as mayor. He is a true inspiration for the students and he even signed autographs for them! We appreciate his willingness to visit our school and share his experiences.

Kindergarten creates a "disguise a turkey” activity. This was so much fun!
