Enjoy the day with your loved ones.

Salem-Liberty P.T.O. recently worked with the Marietta Texas Roadhouse to hold two fundraisers. The students celebrated our profits by line dancing with Andy Armadillo and TXRH staff members. The TXRH staff graciously brought delicious rolls, cinnamon butter, and blue lemonade for the students to enjoy! We are so appreciative of the TXRH manager, Arista, and all other staff members who worked to make our fundraisers and celebration successful!

Salem-Liberty 4th and 5th grade social studies classes were honored to hear Marietta Mayor Josh Schlicher speak to them about his role in local government. He shared how he started as a city council member, served as President of Marietta City Council, and is currently serving his second term as mayor. Mayor Schlicher also told the students about his family and his favorite things to do as mayor. He is a true inspiration for the students and he even signed autographs for them! We appreciate his willingness to visit our school and share his experiences.

Kindergarten creates a "disguise a turkey” activity. This was so much fun!

Today the whole second grade got a class reward of Boba drinks for meeting their Lexia minutes and green lights on Reflex. Way to go, 2nd grade!

Today was our quarterly wellness recess challenge. Miss Megan Lang, Fort Frye Local wellness coordinator, led this event. Aiden Groskols won the K-2 basketball shootout challenge. Scarlet Strahler won the 3-5 grade shootout, while Ethan Gerken won the participation raffle. Congratulations to all of the winners.

The American Legion Auxiliary Post 750 of Lowell held their legion of readers book give away today. All students K-5 had the opportunity to pick a book that they wanted to take home and keep. This is a wonderful program to help the students get interested in reading. Thank you, American Legion. Your generosity is so appreciated.

Today was owl pellet dissection day. The fifth graders really enjoy this Science class activity.

Thank you!
