Due to flooding and still rising high water, Fort Frye Local Schools will be closed today, Friday, April 4. This is a remote learning day for all students.
It’s been almost two weeks since they planted their grass, and today kindergarten got to cut their grass. We’re gonna keep watching it grow for a couple more days.

In partnership with Aspire Autism Center, the Fort Frye Local School District is hosting an awareness and educational event about understanding and meeting the needs of children with autism. This is in recognition of April being autism awareness month.
Attached is a flyer about the event on April 28 that is open to the community. Please help us make this event beneficial by sharing it with student families, community members, and contacts that you may know who would benefit from participation in this program.
After learning about the plant life cycle all week, kindergarten planted their own seeds and will watch them carefully to see what sprouts up.

Third through fifth grade students enjoy the play today at the high school. Descendants was very entertaining and the actors did a great job.
The Washington County Board of developmental disabilities came out to read a book about inclusion of all to Salem- Liberty first graders. The book Strictly No Elephants was given to each student as well. Thank you, Casey Mercer for your excellent lesson on inclusion.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is a One Hour Early Dismissal (3:00).
We have two schools that do not dismiss until 4 p.m. and many students in extracurriculars after school, we will be dismissing one hour early this Friday, March 7, so that our fans can safely travel to support our Lady Cadets in the Final Four. We will play Rootstown at 7 p.m. at Claymont High School. Go Cadets!
