The Southeast Ohio Food Bank will be hosting a food distribution on November 26th, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Marietta, Ohio.

Freezer Raffle Update Good morning, everyone! I wanted to let you all know that the raffle drawing has been moved to this Friday, the 21st. I apologize for the change—our volunteers have very busy schedules, and this is the earliest time we can all get together. Today was our quarterly Recess Challenge. Ms Megan Lang, our wellness coordinator, held a basketball challenge for students. Maxen Lang, 2nd grader, won the recess challenge by dribbling the basketball for 1 min and 39 seconds. Then, Blayne Becker won knock out for grades 3rd-5th. Korbyn Wells, fourth grader, won the raffle for all those who participated in the recess challenge. Congratulations to all of the winners .

Congratulations to these awesome readers on meeting the October Reading Challenge! A big thank you to Wings, Etc. and the Beverly McDonald’s for supporting our readers with a free food coupon for each student meeting the challenge! We are half way into November, so keep reading and coloring in those turkeys! Way to go!

The American Legion Auxiliary Post 750 of Lowell held their legion of readers book give away today. All students K-5 had the opportunity to pick a book that they wanted to take home and keep. This is a wonderful program to help the students get interested in reading. Thank you, American Legion. Your generosity is so appreciated.

American Legion Post 750 came out to Lowell Elementary this afternoon to celebrate and honor Veterans Day. In addition, they donated money to the Lowell PTO. Thank you very much. This is greatly appreciated. Be sure to thank a veteran tomorrow, November 11.

We would like to remind all students to wear red, white, and blue tomorrow for our Veterans Day assembly. Our program will begin at 1:15 and all are welcome to attend. In addition, just a reminder, there is no school on Tuesday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day.

All K-2 students rotated around the classrooms this morning and listened to different versions of "The Day the Crayons...." books. How fun.

Food Drive Winners During the month of October Lowell elementary students and staff voted for their favorite pumpkin by donating canned goods. With that being said, we raised quite a few items for the local food pantry. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who has donated and brought in the perishable food items. Winners this year were first place Tucker Scott. Second place was Oliver Lang and Matthew Strong was our third place winner. Congratulations, boys!
