Tonight was our annual pumpkin walk. Students and families were able to create a fall craft, make trail mix, walk the pumpkin trail, and visit the book fair. Families could even vote for their favorite class created pumpkin by donating perishable goods for the local food pantry. A huge thank you to all the families and staff that came out tonight to make this event such a great success.











Today was the Great Apple Crunch. Apples were served across the district this week to promote healthy eating. The five different types of apples came from Hidden Hills Orchard in Marietta, Ohio.

Our fifth grade class took a field trip today to Hartline Farms, which is located in Marietta. Students were able to learn about the process of running a farm along with the importance of farms. Thank you, Hartline farms, for having us.










Our Scholastic Book Fair has been delivered and next week, October 13th-17th, will be our book fair. Everyone has received a flyer and attached to the flyer, a paper with information on class shopping days, our book fair website, and where to set up an E-Wallet. The Book Fair will also be open during "The Pumpkin Walk" on Thursday, October 16th, 6-7pm. Come and have a great time!!


Just a reminder that there is no school for students tomorrow, Friday, October 3. In addition, all pepperoni roller money and orders are due on Monday. We hope you have a super weekend.

Today is National Custodian's Day. Thank you, Mr. Mike and Mr. Sean, for your work at Lowell Elementary.

Reminder, Thursday is a 2 hour early out. We will dismiss at 2:00. Parent teacher conferences will take place starting at 2:15.

Students enjoy hat day and popcorn Friday. The last Friday of each month is hat day and popcorn Friday, which is provided by the PTO.





5th and 2nd grade reading buddies took place first thing this morning.






Attached are the October newsletter items. We have a ton going on in the near future. Next week is spirit week and picture day as well.





Yesterday, Maxen Lang won his 2nd recess challenge! During recess he won the balance challenge by balancing on one leg the longest for grades K-2. Lilly Stewart won the balance challenge for grades 3-5. Congratulations to both.



The fifth grade class finishes their ODOT snow plow today during art class. Great job, students!


Lowell students enjoy fresh peppers and watermelon today. This is a great example of Farm to Table. A big thank you goes out to our local farmers, Worthington produce and Wittens Farm, for the delicious goodies.




Third and fourth graders went to the high school today to watch Mark Comley “Uncle Sam” History Jam. A comedy magician brought to us by Arts Bridge. A good time was had by all!
