Here is the April Newsletter

In partnership with Aspire Autism Center, the Fort Frye Local School District is hosting an awareness and educational event about understanding and meeting the needs of children with autism. This is in recognition of April being autism awareness month.
Attached is a flyer about the event on April 28 that is open to the community. Please help us make this event beneficial by sharing it with student families, community members, and contacts that you may know who would benefit from participation in this program.

Kindergarten is working on a collaborative mural after studying cave paintings in art class today!

Third through fifth grade students enjoy the play today at the high school. Descendants was very entertaining and the actors did a great job.

Today BB2C (building bridges to careers) came to Lowell Elementary and worked with the K-2 students. Thank you, PTO for making this possible. They worked with Lego race cars, tangrams, built bridges, and made circuit roads for a robot. This was a great experience.

We hope to see you April 3rd.

The Washington County Board of developmental disabilities came out to read a book about inclusion of all to Lowell elementary first graders yesterday. The book Strictly No Elephants was given to each student as well. Thank you, Jennifer Klintworth for your excellent lesson on inclusion.

Fraction fun with 3rd and 4th grade!

Today building bridges to careers (BB2C) came and worked with third through fifth grade. Students had to work as a team and build the longest freestanding bridge, highest freestanding tower, fastest Lego car, and coding a path for a small robot. This was a great event for the students.
